• I am Behzad Raissiyan, born in 1976 Tehran, Iran.

• Objectives: I have established this site to share my experiences and the researches done on environmental issues. It will include my papers and articles, concise reports of my projects, travel reports (field work reports), photos, training materials and advertisements and news about ongoing training courses, etc.  

• My Interests: The areas I am interested in, as far as Environmental Services are concerned, include Tourism and Ecotourism, Aquaculture and Fishery, Wildlife, Habitat and Natural Protection, SEA, EIA and EMS; My personal interests and hobbies are eco-tourism, sport fishing, wildlife watching ,photography, skiing  swimming, mountain climbing and other outdoor activities; andalso Iranian cultural heritage, Iranian traditional architecture, music and specially Iranian music and poetry. On the Travel Report Page you will find short reports and some photos of my travels which all focus on the mentioed fields. • My Educational Background:  I have a MSc. Degree of "Environmental Planning and Management" from the University of Tehran (www.ut.ac.ir) , Faculty of the Environment. My MSc. thesis subject was: "Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) of Fishery and Aquaculture in Iran" .It is my honor to be a student of Professor Majid F. Makhdoum (Head Scientifics of the Environmental Planning and Management Group), and Dr. A.R Yavari (Ecology lecturer), B.Behrouziraad (Aquatic Ecology, Wetland Management, Marine Ecology), Dr. S.Faryadi ., (Lecturer of urban abd rural planning) and others.

• My Job position: I have been working as an Environmental Planning, Assessment and Management Expert since 8 years ago in form of consultancy services,(such as Environmental Planning", "Environmental Impact Assessment" (EIA)", Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA)" "Environmental Management Systems (EMS)") training, auditing, etc. Now I am working in RAH-SHAHR consulting engineering group (www.rahshahr.com).  RAH-SHAHR is one of the greatest Iranian consulting companies , which provides a wide range of services with broad base knowledge and experience. I am the technical advisor of the environmental department. I am also involved in accomplishing some large size projects such as "National Iranian State of Environment Report (SOER)" as the team leader and technical advisor. I have been working as a freelance EMS auditor and tutor for Abtin Pershia Company (Certification and Training Services, Deputy of TQCSI in IRAN and middles east region, for more information please see www.tqcsi.com).
